Bagan
There is always the final weekend of normality before someone leaves. It tends to happen right before they begin to pack and to worry and to force their mind forward to the next far-flung place.
For our gender defender I am imagining it was Bagan. A final weekend when we could all still pretend she wasn't really leaving, just as two friends from another far-flung place showed up to begin their time here and we snuck around in the beginnings of something as yet somewhat innocent and undefined - grabbing moments in the space between.
Sunrises, sunsets and a moon filled garden.
