Being Away During a Historic Election

I always knew this would be the most difficult of weekends. Burma/Myanmar is headed to a historic election and I am here in sleepy Kigali with my heart very much in Yangon.

When I decided to leave Myanmar back in September, my biggest regret was that I would not be there for this weekend. And so it is, the weekend in question. And I pour over articles and FB comments and imagine it all.
