Naganuma - Day 1

It is raining in Tokyo. Rain somehow seems to make any situation worse - and in our present homeless state, today is no exception. In the spirit of all good weather however, the rain seems to fit with the ceremony of the day. Our first day at Naganuma.

For those of you who are not familiar with Japanese Language Schools in the west of Tokyo, Naganuma is a teaching method, pioneered at a language academy in Tokyo whose systematic approach involves repetition after boring repetition for about four hours a day. Every day. For the next twelve months. Over the course of that time we are due to move from complete beginners, barely able to string a sentence together to Language Level Proficiency 2 ! (a level that is supposed to take about three or four years of japanese study to reach...)

Hurray!

So far, my brain is only slightly numbed but I have the distinct impression that the holiday is over.
